Death: A Blessing

It there were only birth and no more death, the earth will be saturated with people without space to move around. Each one will be scampering for space above, each climbing on others’ backs to get a breathing space. And the great grand parents being weak will have to settle at the base of the human pyramid and will be the footstools of their great grand children. To be there at the bottom being trampled upon, flattened but can’t die, is indeed a horrifying punishment on earth.

I thank the Lord that I must die; He pities me not to be trampled like a doormat.

Some people abhor to think of death; they keep themselves busy to avoid the thought of death; they simply ignore this fact. When their love ones die, they curse everybody including God; they don’t want to bury the dead. They can not accept that a bemedaled man, a miss universe, a royal blood, a scientist, a tycoon can be eaten by the worms.

Struggling not to die is disobedient to our master Jesus Christ. Jesus died and so, we must. Jesus resurrected, and so we do. His death is the qualification of his resurrection. We have to die to resurrect with Him.

Death is truly a misunderstood gift from God. People would rather live on earth, if possible forever, rather "die" and live in heaven.

The reason is simple. Heaven is too abstract for most people. While earth and its pleasures are "concrete" - they are here and now! Heaven... well, people are not too sure what it's going to be like. Some people even think that life in heaven will be boring... "Can you imagine me praying all day and all night?" someone says.

But just imagine this... it is quite "natural" for people to enjoy looking at a very beautiful person like a Miss Universe or a handsome Hollywood star. But try to use reason. God made this wonderful and beautiful person. He can make a much more beautiful person that this one, right? God in fact can make more and more beautiful person every time ad infinitum. How much more you would enjoy looking at a person who is a million times more beautiful that the current Miss Universe! Right?

If God can create such beautiful creatures, try to imagine how beautiful God is. You cannot? Right! Now wouldn't you like to see God, the most beautiful of all? Well, you have to die first. Oh BTW, there is a prerequisite. You must have done good while you were still alive. Otherwise the vision you will endure forever will be the vision of Satan - the most horrible sight of all!

If you have realized this truth, you would start to "envy" the old people going to churches on Sundays receiving communion. They will very soon enjoy the vision of God in heaven while the rest of us still have to struggle with several more decades (I hope not) in this "miserable" world.

Yes, I agree that death is there for us to be ressurected together with our Lord Jesus Christ.

We must accept the reality that life is so short.

We must do everything that we can do to make our life here on earth a fruitful one.

At least before our death we could add another flower in the garden of the Lord.

Let us remember that God has created us through His image which is love, thats why were on a purpose to love and to be loved, for love is never forbidden, and at the end of our lives we will all be measured by how much we have loved!

God bless you all!!!
